Day zero
Last night we discovered that our flight from San Diego to Dulles was delayed 3 hours. We scrambled to find a flight that would get us to Dulles ontime for our flight to Cape Town this evening. We were able to get on a flight with Southwest Airlines. The chat agent with United Airlines was unhelpful, but the agent we spoke with on the phone was able to cancel our San Diego to Dulles flight so we could file for a refund. Our agent happened to be in Cape Town and was very helpful. He was going to upgrade us to first class, but we are already booked in first class for our flight to Cape Town.
This morning we left at 4:45 am. Wendy was supper exited we were up. She wanted to play ball and was whipping her stuffed monkey around. We left her without saying goodbye...
